Still alive!

 Well, it's been a long while since I posted on here which is very remiss of me! Since I last posted I have had the good fortune to have been a finalist for the Best Collection at the British Fantasy Awards 2024. I did not win on this occasion but it is brilliant to have made it to the last five! 

I have also had a short story acceptance for the superb anthology Blood in the Bricks which is being launched by NewCon Press at World FantasyCon in October this year.

I shall endeavour to populate this website more often in the future. For now, know that I am still alive and kicking!

The Prediction - nano nano

So, it's NaNoWriMo at the moment or, as I believe it is called, National Novel Writing Month where people have one month to write a novel. I am envious of people who are capable of doing this as it takes me ages to craft such a thing. The Prediction - opportunity knocks

Gosh, it's getting closer with every day now. In two weeks time I shall be switching off the lights for The Prediction at Phlambler's World before passing the baton to Colleen Foley over at http://predictionfiction.blogspot.co.uk/  from 1 February. If you've not visited or favourited her site yet then do so (but not until you've seen who the winners are this week). Before we do that though, a couple of opportunities to plug. The Prediction - plugging the gap

With so much water around this week, I've decided to do some plugging before I get into the important act of judging last week's winners. Firstly, Predictioneer David Barber is moving his site The Flash Fiction Offensive to pastures new. Go check out his current site  and see where it is heading. The stories on there are well worth a read and maybe you'll feel like submitting something too. Second plug is for my mate Colin Barnes' call for submissions to his latest anthology over at Anachron Press . Looking for cyber crime writing plus it's a paying market.
